If I could give Nvidia a zero rating, I would. I'm stuck with lousy Microsoft basic display adapter because Nvidia is too lazy to update my graphics driver. My pc is less than 5 years old, its not like a win 95 pc from the 90's. So Microsoft basically forces me to upgrade to win 10. Kills my nvidia driver. Nvidia is not making an upgrade for my driver, just this one here thats not compatible with my pc. And now I lost use of all my video games and some other software. Luckily I have my old 10 year old win XP Gateway pc which i've switched back to. And it works like a charm. And yes, it thankfully doesn't have an Nvidia graphics card.
Drivers run fine for me on my GTX650,only had issues back 2 years ago with a set.One thing I reccommend with nvidia drivers,is to turn off threaded optimization,or it can cause slowdowns, and a few ppl get crashes.Hopefully it'll get fixed or removed soon, been waiting a while on that. The whole ATI vs NVIDIA thing is pointless, cause both have pluses and minuses, and hit and miss drivers.Different games and apps run better depending which tech is was designed for.
Works fine for me but I only install the driver and the physx stuff. The 3d nonsense and the updater I leave unchecked. My next card will be an ati. The one I use now is the first nvidia I've ever bought and will probably be the last.
To \"baki_princ\"....At nvidia's driver catalog, try choosing the latest nvidia graphic card \" Geforce 580 \" and you will see nvidia's 263.09 drivers that way.My nvidia 8400 GS graphics card is feeling mighty old....
To be quite honest, why in the world the hardware is bowing to the software is retarded. Should be the other way around. F games. no offense. If one pays hundreds for a graphic card and tons more for the rest of a pc, a $5 disc for entertainment purposes is the last thing I need an issue with.I've always bought ATI without exception & just now have bought my first nvidia card ever. I'll be switching back to amd and may probably never look back. Good thing I bought it for my budget build and it only cost like $50.
Remote desktop is ONCE AGAIN broken in this release, OMG, when is nvidia going to fix that for good And why is MS WHQLing drivers that broke basic OS functionality So much for their quality testing, I suppose WHQL is just a way to control the market and, of course, profit from one more thing...
CyberDoc999, why are you so lame Switch to new life for maybe more \"intellectual\" brain. DO NOT DOWNLOAD drivers from third-party sites, if you don't know what are you downloading, I mean \"if you aren't sure that these drivers is for your hardware\". At first you must read the description and to find there the words about 80's series. Secondly, go to nvidia.com page, click \"download drivers\", select parameters of your hardware, OS, language and look what offers to you NVIDIA and do NOT DOWNLOAD beta drivers. Be careful beta drivers are developed NOT FOR housewives testing or/and using.
How to understand this from nvidia siteAdd support for NVIDIA SLI on DirectX 10 NVIDIA SLI support DirectX 9 support for 6/7/8 series GPUs DirectX 10 support for 8800 series GPUs OpenGL support for 6/7/8 series GPUs only 8 series cards can handle dx 10 if i remeber correctlyor are the saying that lower end 8 series cards works with dx 10 sli but 8800 not.
This note is on the nVidia primary download site:\"Please note that this driver currently only supports GeForce 8800 series. If you need a driver for other NVIDIA GPUs, please visit www.nvidia.com/drivers and select the driver for your product.\"The link that BetaNews provided to find cards that are supported includes cards are not supported by these drivers, if you don't have an 8800 series card, don't bother with this. It wont install. BetaNews should research things before they post them and get the proper info out.
Watch it here folks... these drivers are only for a select group of nvidia based cards 8800, 7, and 6 series GPUS... WHQL doesn't mean much and there's limited functionality of the control panel... for a good discussion of these and other nvidia driver releases, try this site: =21
ok so now im covinced that the problems im having are with the drivers. with these new drivers (97.44) i can now add madden 07 to my list of games that does not work correctly. however this time there are some twist. if i use my 19 monitor madden works fine, and if you remember from my last review battlefield 2142 even works sometimes with some crashes, but if i try to use my main monitor (OLEVIA 26\" widescreen hd) madden gets green lines battlefield gets a blue screen. the only games that work are the games that support 1280x720 res everything else has a problem unless i use the only WHQL certified drivers my cards have (BFG 8800 GTX) which are the 96.98 drivers now madden works fine on both monitors, but still no battlefield. and to think i bought 2 of these cards its pretty funny that if i use my 7900gt's i have none of these problems in fact ive never had a problem with the 7900s or the 7800s so what is the deal i thought these new 8800s gtx was supposed to be the top of the line. if so how about some certified drivers that support all res and any monitor so that i can play the games i love to play. as for right now the best drivers out for the 8800s is the 96.98 drivers and if you have a new alienware comp your lucky they come with these drivers if not find these drivers. and if i want to play battlefield or FEAR i guess i still have to use my 7900s. please nvidia get your crap together these cards are worthless without good drivers.
As many have pointed out, these drivers are for Windows XP/2000 and certified only for the Geforce 8800 series. NVIDIA's page clearly makes this distinction, it is only Fileforum that confuses it, not nvidia.
This driver had a positive impact on my system. It fixed the color banding problem on the flat panel screen. I also get truer colors online. The purplish/salmony color problem cleared up.I never really expect to get much of a boost from a driver update, but i must confess that this one has some kick to it.The nvidia control panel is a must have for fine adjustments and quick resolution changes.
Let me clear up some confusion:1) go to www.nvidia.com and type in 91.45 to search and you'll get here _2k_91.45.html2) very few people need these. With the exception of Quad installations there's a fix for a 7900GTX in SLI mode and a Quadro FX 1500 fix3) There are NO enhancements for PureVideo in 91.45. They list this on every page that you can download a new version from.*Always read the Release Notes! If your card isn't mentioned at all or if it's for a fix you know you don't need don't bother. Also, I'm seeing some ridiculously low scores for silly reasons. For example, someone couldn't find the drivers at the NVidia site so they gave it a really low score. Come on, NVidia didn't link you there did they They're getting ready to release and someone else linked you. Another silly score is a 2/5 and there's not one bad thing said about the drivers!!! Come on, people.Let's rate software for how well it performs and for no other reason. In fact, I can't directly comment on 91.45's main improvements as I don't even have a Quad installation. I just wanted to clear up some points and also to say NVidia's very, very good at providing support.(it will be interesting to see what happens now that AMD bought out ATI... )
try to download this from nvidia. It's under beta and driver archive(funny).I play command and conquer generals (old game). I can't play with 91.31 , your hardware is not compatible it say's. no problems with 84.21.geforce 6800, 2GB ram.450W. Nforce4.newest driver and firmware
The ONLY difference between this and the last beta, according to the .pdf file from nvidia, is that this one adds sli support for tomb raider: Legends. That's it.No need to go from official to beta over that unless you specifically use SLI and play that game (the game itself is not released yet either)
To tremons: YES!!! Are you using a mobo with an SiS chipset, I wonder My vid card works fine with my new mobo but my old one used an SiS chipset, and not a one of the many AGP drivers fixes the issues with artifacts in DX9 games. Yes, I've tried my share of NVIDIA driver versions as well. I heard that that third party nvidia control panel tool (used to OC cards from windows--NVIDIA Tweak or something) can somehow fix the issue though. Good luck finding a good resolution!
nvidia is choking in quality control. even the latest whql is still broke on my 6600. texture problems in battlefield2 on the version im using and i can't upgrade, because they stopped working. anyone else experiencing issues with a 256mb geforce6600
If these are official why arent they on nvidia's site And if these are beta, why dont they state it Normally any NVidia driver that is posted here has BETA written all over it so I know that its a beta.
One change listed only on a pdf from nvidia's website--if you're a WoW fan using a GeForce 6800 in SLi mode, this driver finally gives you the performance boost you expected from the video card upgrade. Most other significant fixes/enhancements listed in the details. Yeah, finally OpenGL 2.0 compliant man! Tried the driver (though I admit I'm still using the old GeForce4 Ti 4200 64MB card) and no problems. As I suspected there is no difference whatsoever in appearence or performance, but that's due to the old card I'm using. Still you'd be surprised how fast that card works--it out-performs the FX 5600 in almost al
